Dear Ask The Doctor: Should i be worried? i have a lump approx 5-6cm in both of my underarms. they are not painful but do cause a lot of sweating. i also exprience a pulling pain in my breast from time to time. this may be unrelated by for about a year now i expereience pain when urinating.
Dear Hari: The lumps in your underarms may be the lymph nodes that have increased in size, or a skin infection caused by shaving or use of antiperspirants. You may also want to self examine your breasts for any lumps that may have been unnoticed. I would suggest that you visit your family doctor who can have a look at your armpit lumps as well as palpate and examine your breasts for any abnormal breast lumps. Pain during urination indicates the presence of an infection in the urine (UTI), which can be flushed out of the urinary system by drinking lots of water and liquids. On your doctors visit, you should inform him about the urine infection, he may prescribe you some antibiotics and/or order a urine test. |
