Dear Ask The Doctor: Ive been gettin yeast And bacterial infections alt and I wanted to know where do they come from y they keep popping up and how can I prevent from gettin them again
Dear Earline: Certain bacterias and yeast are a part of normal flora of human body. However with low immunity or any breach in the body’s defence mechanism they may multiply to cause infection. Also once infected, if the invading organism is not completely treated with antibiotics, it may recur leading to chronic infection. You need to see your doctor for specific antibiotic medications to control these infections. A healthy diet, increased water intake and maintenance of proper hygiene would help reduce recurrence.
