50 year old women with history of hypertension

Dear Ask The Doctor: I am a 50 year old women with a history of hypertension. I have recently made changes to my life which includes, weight loss, exercise, no alcohol and no stress. Before this change my blood pressure was high and being treated with 100mg Metropolol and 40-25 Benicar HCT. I am on holidays so I don't have a doctor. I am worried because now my blood pressure is reading 83 over 64 with a pulse rate of 90. I cut out the Metropolol 4 days ago and still my blood pressure is 83 over 64. Is the Benicar too strong for me and should I be just taking the Metropolol? I would appreciate your help. Thank you...Darlene
