Overdose

Dear Ask The Doctor: Am i safe to go to sleep last night i took a zopiclone then through the night by accident i took at least three buprenorphine between two and seven am proberably and am thinking they were my zopiclone i got up at felt faint im still shackey sick only when i try and drink a lot of water appart from that its been nearly nine hours ago, i want to know am i shaking and drowsy because i dont take them tablets or am i shackey andlethargic because ive overdosed and am i safe now gto go to bed im frightened to as i dont know if the tablets are going more into my system or if im safe because theyll be coming out thank you heather

Dear Heather: Dont worry, if its only 2-3 extra pills you have taken im sure it will flush out of your system on its own. its a very minor overdose that has occured. If you still feel shaky in a few hours, i would head to the emergency room to get checked out
