Dear Ask The Doctor: I had a ketorelac/tramadol injection 2 weeks ago for a herniated/compressed disc in my lower back . Since the injection I have had numbness and pins & needles in my right foot and lower leg. Could this be a side effct from the drug ? Or is it possibly caused from the actual injection itself ? I am really worried , do you have any advice ?
Dear Chantelle: It might be due to a compression of a nerve root by your herniated disk depending of the lumbar level where the affected disk is located, most likely. The combination of Ketodolac/tramadol does not have such side effect described. And may be if the needle of the injection went to close to the Sciatic nerve you would have felt a traveling current like sensation along your leg. |
