Dear Ask The Doctor: I recently had a Creatine, Urine test that was 234 and that the normal range is 29-226. The Bun and Creatine measures were normal. Should I be concerned that this value is high? Dear Ellen: You have mentioned that you are suffering from diabetes and hypertension. Both these disease processes can cause damage to the kidneys. ACE inhibitors are particularly helpful in diabetic nephropathy and may be required in your case. I would suggest that you talk to your doctor in this regard. |
