Codiene Allergy

Dear Ask The Doctor: I have a codiene allergy. I misakenly took cough medicine last night. Since then I am itching terrible, but have no rash or hives. Maybe whelpy skin. Is there anything I can do to stop itching? I have already taken benadryl twice.
