Grandma has herpes. Is my child safe when in the same house.

Dear Ask The Doctor: My husband and i with our 4 yr old son is visiting my son's grandparents in India in a week. My son's grandma had "Herpes" a week ago. She is still going through her first outbreak. Is it safe enough for u and especially our child to stay in the same house for 2 weeks. I am very concerned about my son. I would really appresiate a quick response as i am very worried and concerned.
