Omeprazole vs Omeprazole Magnesium

Dear Ask The Doctor: I visited the ER after suffering from extreme pressure in my chest. He said it was GERD, and while he referred me to another doctor, prescribed me Omeprazole, prilosec. My question being, there are two types of otc generic omeprazole, one being the delayed release, omeptrazole magnesium. The delayed release is less expensive, and I'm just wondering what the difference between the two, if any.
