Dear Ask The Doctor: It was suggested to me that I take a probiotic to help out with acne. I am currently taking minocycline, a daily multi-vitamin and now Florastor (the one probiotic i was told won't interfere with the antibiotic I am on). I have read mixed reviews online, some even stating that Florastor caused acne breakouts which scares me....will the probiotic actually help my acne or do I run a chance of making it worse? Is it safe to take both Minocycline and Florastor together?I have tried everything in the book and am desperately trying to avoid accutane...your response is greatly appreciated!
