Dear Ask The Doctor: I am 22 yrs old female have been dealing with stomach problems for 10 years now. Every 2 weeks I feel sick with vomiting, nausea, and get pains in my stomach not belly. Doctor has done blood and stool test and stuck camera in my stomach and have not found anything. I would like to know what it could be and how to control it because I am getting tired of feeling like this every 2 weeks. So please can you help me? Dear Echo: You may be having a food allergy, inflamatory bowel disease or irritable bowel syndrome. SInce you have already had a scope done and it did not show anything it is unlikely that it has to do with your stomach perse. I would advice you to analyse your symptoms and see whether it occurs with any specific foods that you are eating. I would also advice you to get a stool check done as well as an ultrasound of the abdomen. All the best. |
