I have a slightly low lymphocyte count. Do I have lymphoma?

Dear Ask The Doctor: I had recently got a blood test and my differential:lymps was a 24.3% range(25-45). Is this something to do with lymphoma? Should I be concerned?
Dear Andrew: This is only a very slight deviation and I honestly think you should not worry about this. Lymphoma may have a normal CBC but the more important signs and symptoms to watch out for are enlarged lymph nodes continually increasing in size, unexplained fever, unexplained weight loss, etc. Blood tests may also show atypical-looking lymphs. If you want, you can perhaps request your doctor to repeat the blood test although I think it will be unnecessary. I do hope I have answered your question and take care always.
