Damaged bladder

Dear Ask The Doctor: A few years ago I had a Y Plasty I think it is called, where a cut was made above my penis to try and loosen skin because of a tight circumcision. Since then, I have had problems with my bladder ie. having to go to the toilet a lot during the night. I am woken with a pain in exactly the same place as where the scar is and it can only be relieved by going to the toilet. My question is, are there nerve endings or anything related to the bladder that could have been affected by this cut, which by the way I did not agree to. Many thanks
