Will I be able to Drive after Removing Ingrown Toenail? |
|
Dear Ask The Doctor: I am having a ingrown toenail removed today will i be able to drive afterwards. Dear Chnael: An ingrown toenail is a painful condition caused when the side of the toenail digs in the skin at the side of the toe. It is a common occurrence in young adults. There may be inflammation and extra tissue forming at the site. Sometimes an abscess develops which may have to be drained surgically. The causes of ingrown toenails can be i) tight fitting shoes ii) improper trimming of toenails (nails should be trimmed straigh across, not rounded) iii) fungal infection of the toenails iv) any injury or trauma to the toenails. After the removal of the infected toenail, you will not have any problem and will be able to resume driving once the pain and inflammation subsides. |
