Memory loss

Dear Ask The Doctor: Hi there, i am hoping you will be able to leed me in the right direction. for the past few weeks i have been forgetting a few minute or hours of the day. and i completely cant remember doing my work but it is done, the worst was yesterday, i was driving to the shop. next thing i remeber is parked on the side of the highway, i can remember getting into the car and driving upto the point of seeing the highway, then after that i dont remember.
