Dear Ask The Doctor: I have searched for hours, but can't find a satisfactory answer. If you have a sinus infection, is it better to spit out the mucus that is draining, or swallow it? I have seen people saying swallowing it can be harmful, but I have also seen people saying it is actually better to swallow vs spit. Which is it? Thanks!
