Bleeding From Ear With Migraine

Dear Ask The Doctor: I have a migraine and with it I am vomiting ...achy..low tolerance to light and sound...on top of those usual things my right ear was bleeding ...my migraine is on the right side as well...I don't know if this is a cause for major concern..
Dear Victoria: Nosebleed or earbleed are not typical symptoms of complicated migraine, and are likely coincidental. Discharge may also be caused by a minor irritation or infection. A ruptured eardrum can cause a white, slightly bloody, or yellow discharge from the ear. Â However, bleeding from the ear can also indicate something very serious and I would advise that you go to the ER and get it checked. |
