Dear Ask The Doctor: I am bleeding from within my prostate. I noticed it after i urinated. What could it be? Dear Jose: There are many possible causes for blood in the urine (hematuria). The origin of the bleeding can come from the upper (kidneys or ureters) or lower (bladder, prostate, urethra) urinary tract. The only way to find out where it is coming from and exactly what it is, is by getting evaluated by a urologist in your area. Hope this helps. |
