Dear Ask The Doctor: Yes my question is if i am urinating blood but does not burn or hurt what could it be? You could be having some infection or inflammation in your kidneys, prostate or urinary bladder. I strongly suggest you see a doctor as soon as possible so its cause can be identified. Causes of gross hematuria (blood in urine visible to the naked eye) can range from trivial (glomerulonephritis) to serious conditions (bladder cancer, especially in the older population). A simple urine test can tell a lot of things and will be a useful aid in the diagnosis. I do hope this helps and I wish you well always. |
