Problems from wart removal

Dear Ask The Doctor: Almost two years ago, I went into the emergency room to get a wart taken off, when it didn't react to the home treatments. The doctor injected a freezing liquid into my finger and used something to burn the wart off. A little while after that, that same finger began to sting and crack at the skin from the first knuckle up. I tried all the creams I could, and they either only made it worse or did nothing no matter how long I used them. When I went into the doctor's office, I was prescribed a cream called Ratio-Ectosone 0.05% CR. I was told to use it twice a day when it started to flare up. So, I did. However, the flare ups began to become more and more often. Soon, I got similar symptoms on another finger on the other hand. Later yet, I got similar symptoms on two other fingers on either hand, making it four fingers in total that have the dry, scaly skin that's peeling off. I have a history of what I was told was eczema. However, I self-evaluated my skin condition to match it with keratosis pilaris. That condition has worsen in the last two years, but I've found I could help it with vitamin A and baby oil. I don't understand why my hands are becoming like this. We do live in a dry climate, but I've lived here for 5 years now. Why would the change happen now? Is something not going right?
