Dear Ask The Doctor: I AM not yet pregnantI am taking,prenatal plus one tab dialy my hemoglobin level is 10 then the doctore prescribed for me ferrus sulfate twis dialy .Can I took these tow medicin togther or using the prenatal vit enough? thanks Dear SALMAH: You may take prenatal vitamins as well as ferrous sulfate medications together. However the prenatal vitamins contain enough iron, so you may not require additional ferrous sulfate supplement. As your hemoglobin level is low, you need to continue with the prenatal vitamins, as well as supplement your diet with iron rich foods like date, fig, spinach, cereals, grains, eggs, milk, meat, liver and beans.
