3 testicals in scrotum

Patient : For as long as I can remember I've had one side of my scrotum that is bigger then the other (from what I understand this is normal) however I have also noticed that the larger side of my scrotum seems to contain two testes that feel connected while the other side only has one, I was wondering if you had any idea about what this third testicle may be, and should I have it checked by a doctor (in the flesh)?
Symptoms:  Lump connected to a testicle on one side of scrotum?.
