4 days ago, my mom wasn't able to move her

Patient

Q: 4 days ago, my mom wasn't able to move her lips normally and wasn't able to speak right because of this. It looked as if parts of her lips were numb, but she says they aren't. They are also very dry on the outside. Today, on the 4th day, it is slowly getting better but she has no idea what caused it. She said she thinks her mom used to experience the same thing when her blood sugar was high. Could that be a possible reason? She has had diabetes in the past. I would appreciate any information, thank you!
