4 years ago I went to the VA for L5

Patient : 4 years ago I went to the VA for L5 and sciatica nerve pain. After 2 years of nothing getting done the nerve pain eased up. the back pain didn't go away but I dealt with it. 44 days ago the nerve pain came back, but this time it put me on my back. A month after being down i took an ambulance to er. They said it looked like L4 and sciatica by xray. They gave me shot delotta and a steroid. He said id be able to walk out of er. Didnt happen. The first shot was high on butt and excruciating pain. I did not walk out and still on back, but different. Nerve pain in lower leg still there, but eased up. Where shot was and lower butt still hurt bad. Swelling on side of butt. Could they have hit something in upper butt to cause this. Its different than nerve pain cause pain meds help it a little. Cant walk, but can lay here with less pain and pain meds have never helped my nerve pain.
