Patient: 9 hours ago, I rolled my ankle, while walking. It rolled off of the side of the road and pain immediately shot up my leg. I could not walk on it and on a scale of 1-10, the pain was an 8. This morning, it’s not hurting so much, but it’s still very swollen, very slightly discolored, and I still cannot put any weight on it. It’s very tender to the touch and too tender to put ice on it. Is this normal, for a sprain? Or, could it be a fracture?
