Abdominal hysterectomy - Is the cervix removed?

Q: If you have an abdominal hysterectomy and it states in the notes that ovaries are in tact and the the tubes were tied how do i find out if the cervix was taken. i have had two doctors tell me other things like one told me i don't have a cervix so no longer need an pap smear. so i have not gotten one but then i get a notice in the mail stating I still need a pap smear done it's that time to get them done. Just worried.. I have no way of telling if I will get cancer I have been feeling awesome the uterus was benign after being tested. So i am good with that.. just want to make sure I am doing what I am suppose to be doing .. pap or no pap
