Abnormal pap-smear-low grade changes

Patient

Q: Hello, I have recently had an abnormal pap-smear with low grade changes and told to repeat in 6 months. Although it is possible I could have thrush, I am concerned that I have a low-risk type of HPV. The reason being that I have already had unprotected sex with my partner prior to knowing this. I have had the Gardasil immunization and do not have any symptoms at all, and as I have been immunized against the main strains of genital warts, could my partner still get them? I am very nervous about telling him as I do not want him to worry, seeing as it is not yet confirmed and only a low-risk type.
