Patient : I am a 25 year old female . About 6 years ago I had ACL reconstruction in my right knee using my patella tendon graph. I started playing sports competitively again so I go to my surgeon to ask for a prescription brace. While I was on the table he performed lockmans test and came to the conclusion that ligaments in both knees were extremely loose and right knee was far worse than my left. He basically told me I can not participate in any activity with lateral movement. I don't understand what loose ligaments are why I am having knee issues 6 years later? I go for a second opinion at the end of the month and just trying to figure what happened and he diagnosed me with? I'm so concerned because I don't think I should be inactive at 25 years old because of fear. Any information you can provide me would be very helpful also so I know what to ask at my second opinion.
