A:   Menopause usually starts around 50 years of age, but it could be noticed as early as mid 40’s. There is no exact age since the hormone production would vary in every woman but 50 would be an average in the United States.
Menopause consists on the permanent end of menstruation and fertility, defined as occurring 12 months after your last menstrual period. Hormonal changes cause the physical symptoms of menopause,   irregular periods, Decreased fertility, Vaginal dryness, Hot flashes, Sleep disturbances, Mood swings and Increased abdominal fat are some of the most common symptoms.
