Patient : Every year I come down with some sort of respiratory ailment. It starts around the same time of the year, somewhere in the month of December... I always have the same symptoms, sore throat for the first two days, then lots of coughing and congestion, but never a fever... and no one else that is around me ever gets sick, but I stay sick for about a month and no medicines work to shorten the time span. I would think alergies except that my flegm is green. One more thing... I used to get this several times a year when I was in the Navy, and always while I was on the ship. When they were doing repairs on the ship, I discovered that there was black mold above many of the AC units. What is this, and what can I do to avoid or get rid of it?
