Allergic reaction to cat

Patient

Q: Hi!
I have a cat allergy and my roommate recently got a cat. I haven't reacted with itchy eyes/nose/throat like I normally would, but I have noticed that I've been wheezing a lot and not breathing as easily. I had asthma when I was a teenager but was told that I grew out of it. Could the cat be adding to breathing troubles even if it's not giving me my normal allergy symptoms? Wondering if I should be blaming the cat or looking for another cause. Thanks!

Symptoms:  Wheezing, trouble breathing, coughing
