ALT levels slightly increased: What should be the plan.

Patient : I just had a liver test done and my alt test came up slightly high at 42. Should I be concerned? I was on lamisil at the time which was the reason for my test. I have taken it for 2 months and the dr. just took me off of it. If I stop taking it should my numbers go down to normal?
Doctor :   I would ignore this reading since it is only slighlty elevated. Lamisil would cause a slight increase in the same. I wou ld advice you to recheck the enzyme a few months from now. All the best.
