Patient : I cannot hit the keyboard letters or the space bar correctly on my laptop. I keep getting the letter next to it and I have to go back and put the spaces in over again too. I have to put the cursor in the space preceding the letter where I really want the space to be. I had the same issue on the old lap top just before I replaced it a couple days ago. I also have to press the keys very hard. I have had lots of vertigo since August 2005. I cannot walk completely straight. I often bump into doorways, trip on sidewalk bumps, and have double vision from time to time especially at night. I was tested by an E.N.T. specialist and it was determined to be a central nervous system issue. I have seen a neurologist and I have had a head scan which they said was normal. My doctor does not know where to turn from here. I wear distance glasses separate from reading glasses even though my distant glasses have progressive lenses in them. However, this keyboard issue is a first. I weigh 106 pounds and I am 5 foot 3 inches tall, down from 120 pounds a year ago. I have had a number of stresses in the past year including bereavement after the preventable death of my mother. I currently do not have other stroke symptoms that I know of. I do not have hypertension or headaches.
