Hello, thanks for contacting askthedoctor.com
If you have missed your periods already by more than a week then it is always wise to rule out pregnancy first by a urine pregnancy test before various other causes of amenorrhoea can be considered. if the test is negative then you can be given a withdrawal bleed with progesterones for resuming your menses.
I hope i have answered your query in detail,
wishing you good health,
