At risk of Herpes?

Patient

Q: Nearly 30 years ago my girlfriend was in a relationship with someone who had herpes. After that ended, she married a man who she was with 20 years. Neither of them ever showed signs of the disease. During a stressful diverse she developed a blister on her spine which was diagnosed as herpes. She has not had another "outbreak" in four years. Are there still risks of infection and are those risks different between oral sex and intercourse?
