Ativan(lorazepam) during pregnancy-third trimester

Patient

Q: I am currently 28 weeks pregnant and suffering from extreme anxiety and depression that make it very difficult for me to eat, sleep, or function normally. My psychiatrist prescribed 20mg of buspar at bedtime and Ativan as needed. The buspar does not seem to help me at all, but the Ativan helps me. Currently I am needing about 1mg of Ativan daily. I am so scared that this drug is hurting my baby. I try to push through without taking it, but then I have many problems that could also hurt the baby. I don't know what to do. I need to know if taking this drug for the remainder of my pregnancy will hurt the baby? PLEASE HELP. I am really struggling with what to do.
