Back left inside of my mouth, by my back teeth

Patient

Q: Back left inside of my mouth, by my back teeth - in the space between my gums and my lip, I have three little ball point pin sized bumps. They don't hurt too bad but, their bother is noticeable. For the past month or two, I have had other ones (varied in size). I had one or two show up on the back roof of my mouth and two on my left tonsil. The tonsil bump/craters were extremely painful. Are these canker sores? Do canker sores have out breaks? Are these Cold sores (herpes)? Should I get an STD test!? - I am currently military and cannot have anything wrong. This could be detrimental to my future and I'm starting to freak out. Please help, lay it all out there and give it toe straight.
