Patient : I'm a high school athlete, and on the off season I have been running on a treadmill for maybe 15 minutes a day. Recently, I've noticed a muscle pain in the back side of my right knee that extends to the side. I assumed it was nothing, but now that I am playing a sport and the pain has increased. I can run with no problem. It's only when I extend my leg, like with walking, that it hurts. I've tried stretching it and all, but that hurts more than anything. help?
p.s. - I don't know if this is a factor, but I've had weak knees and my knees slightly turn in, causing me to be slightly pigeon-toed.
