Back pain and sciatica after injury

Patient

Q: Hello. I'm a fit 29 year old male. I injured my back around 3 months ago lifting something heavy. Since then I've had constant lower back pain which is stiff when bending backwards, the pain is slighly more to the right. Along with this I've had sciatica running from my right buttock, down the back of my right leg, all the way to my foot. Also I've got parathesia in my perineum area, and the tip of my penis. The sciatica is made worse when sitting, especially driving which is near impossible for me. I've had an MRI which my physiologist looked at, and it shows no herniated disks in my spine, and said he has no idea what's causing my pain, and that he cannot help me and I have to live with the pain. I wondered if anyone can help me understand what I might have injured, and what my next step is?

Many thanks.
