Back Pain, Hit by vehicle, MRI results

Patient : I got hit by a car as a pedestrian, and I just got my MRI results back. How serious is this? What should I do? I'm only 20 years old. Here is my MRI results below: There is a left central disc herniation at the T7-T8 level flattening the left ventral portion of the thecal sac without mass effect upon the thoracic cord and without a canal stenosis present. What is seen of the paravertebral soft tissues is normal. Mild loss of signal is seen at the T12-L1 disc space.
