Back,Side Pain While Drinking

Patient : Within the last few months or so, I've been getting really bad side and back pain while I'm drinking throughout the night. It doesn't continue on afterwards (when I wake up the next morning there's no pain at all). I drink an average of about 12-14 standard drinks on a night out. Last night I drank 10-12 and the pain was particularly bad. I woke up with no pain whatsoever, but throughout the day I've had random quivering feelings in my left side where the pain used to be. I used to binge drink quite heavily, every weekend. But recently only like once a month. Could this be something serious?
