Being a Parent or Your Child's Best Friend

Patient

Q: My son allows my grandson, who is 6, to watch South Park, Family Guy as well as R rated movies and songs that have inappropriate language. He said that his son knows not to repeat "bad" words, and makes him look the other way when watching sexual scenes. I've trying to tell him that a child's mind does not have those reasoning skills. I'm afraid my grandson is going to be a child that other parents DON'T want their children to be around, too worldly for the age. My son treats his 6 year old as if he's a little adult. How can I convience my son to be the parent not the best friend.
