Benign tumors

Q: I am 16 , I have 2 benign tumors in my knee and experience pain off and on. My pain changes between a sharp shooting pain and a throbbing pain. I have been to UClA and they really haven't told me much. I was wondering if these benign tumors should be removed? How can they affect me in the long run? I was told they could penitentially fracture my femur. What else do I need to know about these types of tumors? I have took X-rays and MRI's
