Birth Control Recommendation

Patient : Hi, I have a question about birth control. I have been taking Alysena 28 for the past 4 months. The first three months I have had irregular spotting followed by a normal period. This fourth month I had irregular spotting but no period. I have checked with a doctor and I am not pregnant. They have said that a missed period is common and made a suggestion to stop birth control for a couple months so my body can regulate itself and then start again on a NEW pill. I was looking for a second opinion, would you recommend this or should I just continue with the Alysena 28 as scheduled ?
