Bit by a dog, months later still getting pain?

Patient : I was bitten by a dog 2 months ago. It was severe with a deep puncture wound. It was on the inner side of my knee. Now I can't go out or walk for long periods of time without being in excruciating pain that lasts days after walking/being active. Is this normal? My puncture wound has been healed up for a little over a month. What is causing this pain? Do I need to see my doctor?
