Bleeding after Sexual intercourse

Patient: Bleed after sex for a few days.No pain Not like period blood. Doesnt happen every time but happens every few weeks. Very worried and a clear STI test

Symptoms: Bleeding

Doctor: Hello,Thanks for the query.Post-coital bleeding or bleed after an intercourse is something which needs to be evalu ated. It could be due to causes like a cervical polyp, local inflammation or even a precancerous stage of cervical cancer.Kindly see the doctor immediately and get an evaluation including a pap smear and an ultrasound if needed. A vaginal swab may be taken, further tests and treatment would be started accordingly based on the smear reports.Avoid oral contraception in case you are on them, as they too can have such side effects, smoking must be stopped and drink lots of water daily.Hope this helped.Regards
