Blood when I catch a cold or sinus infection

Patient

Q: I was born in Mumbai,India where the climate is usually about 30 degrees Celsius. I have been living in London, UK where the climate keeps fluctuating to 0-10 degrees celsius in winter to even 20 degrees celcius in summer. My problem is when ever I catch a cold or some kind of sinus infection, I clear my throat and find a little blood in my yellow-green phlegm. I don't have any cough nor do I have fever. Only my biceps, triceps, chest, back and abs pain because of my 6 days a week workout. I feel normal and have no trouble breathing and no shortness of breath. What could be possibly wrong with me and why is it that every time I catch a cold and sinus infection I find some blood in it ? Could it be due to the weather change ? Also my room mate has had a cold since the past 2 days, could it be that my immune system is weak and thus I caught it ?
