Burning Knee Pain Waking up

Patient

Q: I woke up in the middle of the night and both of my knees hurt when I bent them or even straightened them. Pretty much any movement was painful. Both knees hurt but the left one was far more in pain and it had a burning sensation. It also felt like something was snapping in my joint area. After about 15 minutes of attempting to straighten my knees and essentially crying and havingn a panic attack I finally managed to lift my upper body and bring my legs around to the floor. When I stood up everything was fine again. I moved my legs, kept bending them and it was like nothing happened. There is only a very insignificant amount of tenderness if I press hard in the spot where all the pain was. Should I be worried about this knee pain? This is the only time I've ever experienced this and it was one of the most unbearable burning pain I have ever felt in my life!
