Burning when I urinate

Q: Yesterday, I noticed a burning sensation from the tip of my penis when I urinated. I've felt it all day and today every time I go to the bathroom. The pain stops when I finish. I think it might be a urinary tract infection. I don't have to frequently urinate and my urine is clear and normal looking. I'm not sure how I would have gotten it. I haven't been sexually active (other than masturbation) in about a month. The only way I think I could have gotten a UTI is from touching something with bacteria on it and then touching my penis sometime afterwards. Is that possible?
