Buttock pain

Patient

Q: I may have a Piriformis or Sciatica issue. Several years ago I did a right leg side kick in a kick boxing aerobics class and heard and felt a pop in my right buttock. Ever since I have occasional pain in my buttock that travel down my right leg and into my foot. Often I can feel and hear a pop in this area by flexing my foot on the floor and bending at the hip. Sometime this lessens the pain. I have researched Piriformis and Sciatica stretches online and find that my symtoms are worse after performing the stretches. My body does not bend from the hip easily rather I bend from the waist and I have always had much difficulty sitting cross legged. I have been doing lower back stretches for the past 6 months(lying on back, pulling knees to chest for count of three and releasing for count of three and twisting lower back to each side and holding for 30 seconds) The pain has not improved. Any suggestions would be appreciated
